Sister's visit and Melbourne

My sister and her lovely daughter Leila, having been visiting us over the last few weeks, which has been fantastic. Matthew and Leila have been getting on brilliantly and are keeping both Emilie and I on our toes during the day. Thankfully both get very excited when Dave gets home which gives us a few minutes peace and quiet before bath and bed time.

We decided to have a long weekend away in Melbourne to take in some sights and catch up with some of our cousins who live down there. It was a lovely trip and considering we had all three children with us, it was a very relaxed weekend. We spent Friday walking around the city and taking in some of the sights. Saturday we spent the day with our cousin Lana, her husband Theo, and their son Athan. Our other cousins Mona, Kathy, and Nick were also there with their families. It was nice to catch up after such a long time although it did feel like we'd only seen each other a couple of weeks ago, not the 10 years it's been!

Welcome

Welcome to our site. We've recently moved from the UK to Queensland, Australia and will be using this site to keep friends and family up to date with all our news.

We arrived in Australia on the 3rd November and have been pretty busy since then, finding a house, finding a job and having a new addition to the family arrive. Sophie arrived at 11:55am on the 2nd March. Her brother, Matthew, is already taking great care of her and ensuring she is being well looked after! Dave is enjoying his job based in Noosaville and Marina is still getting over the shock of having two children under two.

Life in Australia is good and we are gradually getting settled in and finding our way around.
