I know....
The remainder of our trip to the UK wasn't quite as relaxing as we were hoping, but it was great to be able to catch up with everyone.
Following our return from Inverness, we had a quiet Monday taking the children over to fun park. It was nice to let them have a run around and Matthew even got a ride on a train! Tuesday we met up with The Rowson's - Jane, David, Danielle and Thomas - and the Allen's - Frank and Jean. Danielle and Thomas finished school a little earlier and David took the afternoon off. We went to a pub for lunch and then onto Jane and David's house for more wine (Dave was driving) and plenty of entertainment for the children.
On Wednesday we got ourselves ready for our trip to Moscow. A little bit of shopping and packing. Thursday morning we were up really really early and drove from Nuneaton to Heathrow. We wanted to beat the traffic and by the time we arrived on the M25 I'm glad we left when we did! After an eventful few hours in Heathrow we finally board the plane with three very tired and grizzly babies. Emilie and I were really looking forward to a G&T especially as Sophie and Leila fell asleep pretty soon after take off, only to be told that the airline we were flying with didn't serve alcohol!!!!! Devastated......
We were met at the airport by our lovely brother John. It was great to see him and be with him in his 'home town'. We met John's wife Vikka and his beautiful baby daughter Sasha. She definitely takes after her mother!!! It was a shame that we were only there for a few days but we did get to spend all of it together. We managed to fit in a walk around Red Square and the Kremlin, a visit to a huge market, dinner at John and Vikka's, and lunch with them at their local cafe.

We met up with Em and Leila in London on Wednesday and took the children to the Natural History Museum for a look at the dinosaurs and to the Science Museum for a play in their interactive area. Fantastic. Plenty of water to keep the children amused, although a little loud for the grown ups!!
We finished up our packing on Thursday morning following a pretty horrible night with Sophie and finally left Ian, Rach and Haze in peace for the first time in a month! A huge thank you again to them for letting us descend on their home. We're looking forward to having them here for a trip and help sample some more of Australia's fine wines!!
