Hello October

Dave arrived safely back from a successful week in Perth to a gala dinner in Brisbane hosted by the Australian Engineering Association. Dave and I joined Clearmake's new owners Dave and Melinda, and Reg and Kaylene for a night of food, drink, and dancing. The award presentations were interesting, but definitely took up far too much of the evening! We danced the night away and it was nice to get dressed up.

The following morning Jude and I had a stand at the Natural Baby Expo in Brisbane, and I'm glad I didn't go too mad the night before but was definitely tired by the end of the day. The Expo was interesting and will hopefully generate a lot of business for us. The majority of ladies there were pregnant so it'll be a while before we get the full impact of it.
Other than that the last couple of weeks have been relatively quiet for us. We had a curry with Chris and Jude last weekend and another one on Saturday with some friends Sharon and Gary. I met Sharon at the Mons Playgroup and we also play netball together.

Talking of Mons Playgroup, I have recently been voted in as President of the Playgroup! Scary.... I'm hoping that it'll be a good experience and something different to get my teeth into. I'll keep you posted.

The children are doing really well. Enjoying getting out into the garden and finally being able to have a dip in Nanna and Grandpa's swimming pool. Sue arrived back from her UK trip last week and we had morning tea with her on Monday. It was nice to see her and Matthew, Josh, and Indi enjoyed being back together, with Sophie in tow! We're meeting up at the beach tomorrow morning for a bit of sandcastle designing and a splash about. It'll be the first time that I've taken the two little monkies to the beach myself so it'll be interesting to see how that goes.

I'm looking into changing their swimming lessons to somewhere a bit closer to home. They have really missed it and it's been months since they've done anything. We noticed today when they were swimming with Mum and Dad just how much they've forgotten!

My lovely sister and niece have recently moved into their own place and we wish them all the love and happiness they deserve. We'll hopefully be seeing them in the not too distant future.

My brother reports that all is well in Moscow and Sasha is coming on brilliantly. I can't believe that she will be nearly a year before we see her again.....
